I used to think I was being productive.
I had the vision boards. The saved fonts. The perfectly curated Pinterest boards that spanned every aesthetic from vintage Italian romance to brutalist minimalism.
I had a creative soul—and a creative spiral.
But no matter how many hours I spent collecting inspiration, my brand still didn’t feel like me.
And that’s when I realized:
I wasn’t designing—I was delaying.
🎯 The Pinterest Trap: When Inspiration Becomes a Distraction
In my video “The Pinterest Trap”, I talk about something I think a lot of creatives are secretly experiencing:
We don’t lack talent.
We lack clarity.
We’re flooded with ideas, trends, templates, and aesthetics—yet frozen when it comes to choosing one that actually feels aligned. We save. We scroll. We curate.
But we don’t create.
We build mood boards instead of brand systems.
We pick color palettes instead of product launches.
We stay in “dreaming” mode because action feels too risky—like we’ll pick the wrong style or get it not quite right.
But the longer we stay stuck in that loop, the more disconnected our brands become.
And the less confidence our audience feels in us.
🌱 The Turning Point: I Was Spiraling, Then I Built a Studio
In my first story video, I share something raw: I was burnt out.
From corporate design. From illness. From being everything to everyone but myself.
I had a vision for my life and my business, but I couldn’t move. I couldn’t act.
The muse was speaking, but I was frozen.
What changed?
I stopped trying to create the perfect brand.
And I started designing a space that reflected my truth.
Schirin Studio became that space.
It wasn’t just fonts and colors.
It was a home for my creativity, my values, my soul. A place to build a brand that reflected not just what I do—but who I am.
And when that alignment clicked?
The overwhelm fell away. The spiral ended.
I finally moved from dreaming to doing.
🔥 What I Want You to Know
- If you’re overwhelmed by your own ideas, you’re not alone.
- If you’re stuck in aesthetic confusion, it’s not a branding problem—it’s a clarity problem.
- And if you’re still saving 1,000 pins hoping one will magically become your identity… you don’t need more inspo.
You need a mirror.
Your brand already exists. It’s waiting for you to claim it.
